Terms of sale are as follows:
Bids start at 2/3 of the appraised value.
Buyers must have 10% down the day of the sale.
The balance is due within 30 days of confirmation of the sale.
Only cash or cashiers checks are accepted.
NOTE: Sheriff's Sales operated under the doctrine of Caveat Emptor. The Hocking County Sheriff makes no guarantee as to the status of title prior to the date of sale.
Prospective bidders have within 30 days after the date of the sale to conduct an examination of title. If the title is found unmarketable, the sale may be avoided by requesting that the sell be set aside through the Hocking County Common Pleas Court.
